Scholars Grove will provide on-site housing supporting visiting research fellows.  A generous grant from late philanthropist, Charles Munger, will bring the 20-year dream and much anticipated residential project to life.

Thirty-three short-term residences arranged in seven one- and two-story buildings will offer a focal point for research fellows to thrive in creative spaces for inter-disciplinary conversations, sparking insights and collaborations.

A modern take on the traditional Mediterranean design will blend seamlessly into The Huntington’s historic landscape.  The thoughtful design for the project will incorporate and preserve 150 trees, including historic oaks, protected magnolia trees and a research grove of avocado trees dating back to the founder Henry E. Huntington’s time.
